In the changing arena of the soccer world, the recent legal battle between Manchester United striker Anthony and Dutch powerhouse Ajax has attracted countless attention. It is reported that Anthony has taken Ajax to court, pointing the finger at the club's deduction of a huge amount of salary, which was originally his sacrifice as an "illegal fine".

Dating back to the summer of 2022, Anthony was eagerly awaiting his arrival at Manchester United for a transfer fee of up to €100 million. However, just a week before the transfer was finalized, Anthony missed several training sessions as well as a Dutch Eredivisie match due to a conflict with Ajax. Ajax ruled that he had left the club without permission and fined him three times, with a corresponding amount deducted from his salary.

Although Anthony eventually moved to Manchester United as he wished, he was haunted by Ajax's decision to fine him. Convinced that the fines violated the law, he sought the help of an arbitration body in the hope of recovering his withheld salary through legal means. The dispute, which lasted for two years, recently saw a substantial hearing.

During his time at Ajax, Anthony became a stalwart of the team with his exceptional skills. His outstanding performance soon attracted the attention of top clubs, one of which was Manchester United, which eventually became his home. However, his career was undoubtedly overshadowed by the legal scandal.

The dust has not yet settled on the case hearing and the final decision of the arbitration board is yet to be revealed. Anthony's legal team have said they are not in a position to make any comments while the hearing is ongoing. Ajax's side, on the other hand, insisted that their decision to fine them was legal and said that they would be proactive in dealing with the legal dispute.
