On the eve of the upcoming Euro opener, Albania head coach Silvinho has boldly predicted that the clash will put an unprecedented psychological weight on rivals Italy. He is confident that Albania, despite their trials and tribulations in the qualifying rounds, are ready to give it their all in the Euro arena.

Silvinho was not without a reminder of Italy's tradition as a traditional powerhouse in the soccer world, which has traditionally been highly competitive. Citing Brazil's opening draw with Switzerland in the 2018 World Cup as an example, he warned Italy that a loss in the first match would surely make the subsequent journey a difficult one.

Although Albania is not under as much pressure as Italy, Silvinho also admitted that the team is feeling the same tension of the tournament. He revealed that the team as a whole is in good shape and the players are giving their best in training to prepare for the Euros.

Talking about his personal coaching career, Silvinho recalled his time in Italy, especially his experience as an assistant coach at Inter Milan, which he believed benefited him greatly and spoke highly of the tactical philosophy of Italian soccer.

As the Europa League draws closer, Silvinho and his Albanian team are ready to go and they are looking forward to proving themselves on the field of play, in an exciting showdown with strong teams such as Italy.
