Dutch media outlet Voetbal Primeur has revealed that the Indonesian Football Association is working non-stop to prepare for the naturalization of Riedewald, a midfielder who plays for Belgium's Antwerp. The move means that Riedewald may be on board the Indonesian national team's chariot to make his mark in the international arena.

Riedewald, 28, spent the beginning of his career at Ajax in the Netherlands, where he gained a wealth of experience in the game. He then moved to Crystal Palace in the English Premier League to take his skills to the next level. The midfielder is a one-man show on the pitch with his exceptional technical and tactical intelligence.

It is believed that Riedewald's grandmother is Indonesian, which grants him eligibility to represent the Indonesian national team. Although he still has the opportunity to represent the Surinamese national team, it seems that Riedewald has favored Indonesia.

Notably, Riedewald had played three games for the Dutch national team in 2015, when he was just 19 years old. With the adjustment of FIFA rules, players can still choose to play for another country if they fulfill the conditions. This also opens the door for Riedewald to join the Indonesian national team.

The Indonesian Football Association has paid great attention to Riedewald's naturalization process and expects him to complete it soon and play for the Indonesian national team. Meanwhile, Kluivert, who will soon take charge of the Indonesian national team, has also shown great interest in Riedewald and he is expected to include him in the national team squad in future matches.
