In the 20th round of the Premier League's heated battle last weekend, Manchester City, with the advantage of their home ground, showed a wonderful victory over West Ham United with a score of 4-1. The match came to an end, and in the post-match commentary on City's official channel, former City star Lescott gave some insight into his team's central midfielder Kevin De Bruyne.

Citing his own career, Lescott lamented, "Playing for a club for many years, as I did for eight years at Manchester City, you always meet talented players. You respect them and learn from them on the pitch and in training. However, one day, you find yourself becoming a role model for all." He set the stage with this quote and went on to comment on De Bruyne.

Speaking about De Bruyne, Lescott commented, "Despite the evolution of De Bruyne's role, he continues to dazzle on the field. He has always been that most outstanding player, both as a youngster and now." He emphasized that although De Bruyne may be physically demanding, his desire and will to play soccer has always been the same, which is why fans love him.

Lescott continued his analysis: "We often seem to overlook the fact that De Bruyne is ten years 'older' in the team, but he is still dynamic in his performances. He knows what the team and the game needs, and when he first arrived he was energetic, running with the ball a lot and influencing the game in that way. However, today his style is different."

He further elaborated, "De Bruyne has enough respect and responsibility to be able to play technically in smaller spaces and yet still maintain a strong influence. This depends as much on time and age as it does on the stability and control of the opposition. When he shows such ability, opponents respect him in a new light and have to be more accommodating of his presence."
