According to The Athletic, Liverpool don't seem to be planning to recruit new recruits in the winter transfer window this season, and so far there has been no movement to signal an expansion of the Reds' squad.
Liverpool have reportedly rejected a number of offers for Ben Doc. Despite Crystal Palace's £15million olive branch and Ipswich's £16million offer, Liverpool remained firm. Ben Doak, who is on loan at Middlesbrough, has been a bright performer this season. The Liverpool hierarchy firmly believe that his value far exceeds these offers, and unless he gets a significantly higher offer, he will finish the season at Middlesbrough and return to Liverpool's Kirkby youth camp next summer.
Meanwhile, Liverpool wing-back Calvin Ramsey has been recalled to base after an uneventful loan spell. While center-back Reece Williams has had his loan extended until the end of the season and is currently playing for League Two side Morecambe.
In goal, Liverpool have agreed a free transfer with 22-year-old Marcelo Pittaluga, who will return to former owners Fluminense. Despite releasing the young keeper, Liverpool retained a 40% share of the second transfer.
Last January, Liverpool also did nothing in the transfer market. This winter, the Red Army still maintains a conservative strategy, and does not seem to intend to carry out large-scale reinforcements.
Liverpool's injury problems have eased with the return of Konate and Conor Bradley against Manchester United. Currently, only Joe Gomez is unavailable due to injury.
