In the latest installment of the Stick to Football podcast, Gary Neville was full of praise for Welbeck's recent performances. He points out that Welbeck's athleticism is far superior to that of any other striker in United's current squad and laments United's decision to let him go in the first place. Neville was outspoken, stating that Welbeck would have deserved a place in United's 24-man starting lineup.

In the face of Neville's strong views, Roy Keane offered a very different perspective. Keane seriously countered that just because a player leaves and then excels does not mean they should have stayed at United in the first place. Keane's comments seem to find another explanation for Welbeck's departure.

Neville has not backed down from this and is convinced that if United really want to maintain a strong forward line, Welbeck's place is undisputed. However, Keane has his reservations and believes that even if a player can have an illustrious career after leaving United, it does not prove that they are good enough for the intense competition at United.

This debate on Welbeck's stay and go is getting more and more heated as the two former Manchester United stars each have their own views. Their views, no doubt, provide a perspective for United fans to think about and make people curious about Welbeck's future.
