In the wake of Manchester City striker Zulian Ivaris, Sporting Club Madrid's pursuit of the former has intensified. According to the Daily Mail, Sporting Madrid are not only eyeing Zulian Ivaris, but are also looking to borrow midfielder Mafios Nunes from Manchester City. The 25-year-old Portuguese international is currently a regular on the bench, and City seem willing to let him go.

Last summer, Mathias Nunes joined Manchester City from Wolves for a transfer fee of £53 million (HK$550 million), but he did not find favor with captain Gaudio. In the Premier League last season, he appeared in only 17 matches, mostly as a substitute. It is expected that his chances of playing this year will be further reduced, so City have no objection to sending him out on loan.

It is worth noting that City have also bagged Saudi Arabian giants Hilal for a fee of HK$21 million (about HK$220 million).
