Manchester United have officially announced the transfer of their flanker Fagendo Berlis to Greek rivals Penarthinaikos for a transfer fee of £5.1 million (HK$51 million). The 22-year-old Uruguayan international will start a four-year journey with his new owner. As soon as the news came out, many netizens expressed their relief that Fagendo Berlitzza will have a new take-off in his career after leaving Berlitzza.
On the occasion of his departure from Manchester United, Fagendu Berlischa expressed his gratitude to the club via social media: "Dear Manchester United, our time here is coming to an end. It has been an unforgettable journey that I will remember. At Manchester United, I have been able to develop my career and personal growth. As you said, once a Red Devil, always a Red Devil, Manchester will always hold a special place in my heart. I wish the club, the players and the fans all the best for the future."
Looking back to four years ago, Fagendu Berlischa joined Manchester United for a fee of 9 million pounds after being introduced by Koran. However, his 25 games with the Red Devils have not been impressive and he has spent most of his time on loan. In the second half of last season, he was loaned out to CF Granada in La Liga, where he scored only 2 goals in 15 games and the team was eventually relegated. As United already have players such as Alejandro Canazo, Amit Diarlo and Anthony Maffios on the right side of the pitch, Fagendo Berlicha is seen as a "redundant" player, and this transfer is expected.
