Spanish media outlet Tyc have reportedly broken the news that Sporting Madrid have managed to convince Manchester City striker Zulian Ivaris to join the club. The two sides are reportedly expected to sign a working agreement for up to five years. The La Liga giants will negotiate with City's top brass over the transfer fee in the upcoming negotiations, which is expected to be as high as 90 million euros (about HK$767 million).
Zulian Ivaris is rumored to be interested in leaving the team due to his dissatisfaction with his playing time. In the team of the "blue moon", it is said that the 24-year-old Argentine international will decide on his destination after the Olympic Games. With the exit of the top eight players from the Argentine national team, Ivaris is able to concentrate on his transfer.
Tyc reports that the board of directors of Sporting Club de Madrid have held several rounds of in-depth negotiations with Ivaris' agent. Coach Szmonyi also sees his fellow Argentine as a prime target for reinforcements. Ivaris was impressed by the sincerity of his opponent and agreed to join Sporting Madrid. He will sign that five-year contract as soon as the club and Manchester City agree on a transfer fee.
Zulian Ivaris currently has a four-year contract. In the last season, he made 54 appearances for Manchester City, contributing 19 goals and 13 assists. City are demanding a transfer fee of at least €90 million, a demand that will be a prerequisite for transfer negotiations.
