In Saturday's (27th) pre-season warm-up match, West Bromwich Albion and La Liga Mallorca narrowly met, the game, but accidentally staged a "boxing show". Molingbee and Sammy Costa first exchanged words, and then had a physical clash, punching to the flesh, just like a real boxing match.
In what was expected to be an uneventful game, a jaw-dropping scene took place in the 39th minute. West Bromwich Albion midfielder David Molingby and Mallorca midfielder Sime Darby were arguing, and Sime Darby took the lead, and Molingby returned the favor with a punch. The two sides went back and forth, and the scene got out of control before teammates intervened to calm the situation.
Perhaps because of the nature of the warm-up match, the referee did not show a red card. Molingby was substituted at half time and an unknown internal punishment may await him. As of now, Mallorca have a narrow 1-0 win.
