Liga MX powerhouse Xavier's centerpiece, Sergio Ramos, has refused to renew his contract at the age of 38 and has decided to bid farewell to the team after his contract expires this summer. The decision came as a surprise, but it has been revealed that Ramos is expected to join USL newcomers FC San Diego in the new season, a team that will compete with Miami International.

The official statement from Xavier said that Ramos has realized his long-cherished wish to return to his mother team. He was trained in the youth team of Xavier since his childhood, and then transferred to Real Madrid in 2005, and with the "Galactic Fleet" in 16 years, he won many honors such as La Liga, Copa del Rey, UEFA Cup and World Championship, and helped the Spanish national team win the World Cup in 2008 and 2012.

Ramos then moved to France, joining Paris Saint-Germain and winning the Ligue 1 title twice. Last summer, he returned to Xavier and played 37 games, scoring seven goals and proving that he has not aged well. With the expansion of the USL next season, FC San Diego plans to invite Ramos to join the team to enhance its strength and influence. If Ramos joins the team successfully, he will have the opportunity to play against former Barcelona teammates such as Mez, Busquets and Suarez again.
