Manchester United's left back Rauki Suhr has suffered frequent injuries, which has dealt a huge blow to the stability of the team's defense. According to the Daily Sports Daily, United is plotting to bring in Kirona's young left back Mikiel Gudilis this summer to deal with the emergency.
At just 22 years of age, Mikiel Gudilis has been an eye-catching performer on the offensive end of the field, contributing four assists in La Liga this year. Last December, he scored a solo goal away to Barcelona, helping Quirona to a 4-2 comeback win, a performance that certainly caught the eye of many top clubs, including Manchester United.
But United's desire to sign Mikiel Gudilis will not be easy due to the fact that he had a buy-back clause included in his contract when he moved from Real Madrid to Quirona in the summer of 2022. Real Madrid have the right to buy him back for €8 million (about HK$68 million) in this summer window. Meanwhile, Real Madrid are also considering bringing in Bayern Munich's left-goalkeeper Alfonso Davies. If they succeed in bringing in the 23-year-old Canadian international, it might reduce the competition for Mikiel Gudilis.
