In the midst of the shocking waves of the soccer transfer market, Sporting Madrid and Siffield United FC have joined hands to announce that 28-year-old Croatian international and former member of the World Cup third-place team, Ihegabi, will be transferred from Sporting Madrid to Siffield United on a three-and-a-half-year deal. The total value of the deal is said to be as high as 2.5 million euros (about HK$21.25 million), and Ihegabi's joining will bring a ray of hope to Siffield United, who are at the bottom of the English Premier League.

Iwogabi has had a stellar career, and although he has never been a star in his own right as Obili's deputy during his four years with the club, he has helped the team win the La Liga title in the '20-'21 season and was loaned out to Lille in the '21-'22 season, so that's not something to be underestimated.

Siffield United fans are expecting a lot from the new goalkeeper, and Iwogabi will continue to write his own legend in a new arena.
