This season, Ligue 1 powerhouse Lens has been performing well in the UEFA Europa League, and although there have been slight ups and downs in the league, the team still harbors the hope of going out of the competition. Facing the challenge, the club plans to bring in strong reinforcements when the winter transfer window opens next January. Coach Frank Keith has revealed that he is eager to bring back Manchester United defender Jarrani to help the team.
It is reported that Wahlani is dissatisfied with the loss of his starting position and has expressed his willingness to let go of United's manager Tannhäuser. Ahead of the upcoming UEFA Europa League away game against Arsenal, Lens coach Frank Kaiser expressed his anticipation for the return of Warani: "If Warani has the will to return, we will of course welcome him with open arms. However, whether a contractual agreement can be reached is another matter. After all, Bayern Munich and the Saudi Arabian clubs are able to offer lucrative salaries, and we seem to be at a slight disadvantage in this respect."
Varani, 30, was a former Lens youth academy standout and quickly showed his talent after being promoted to the first team in the 2010/11 season before being acquired by Real Madrid. He won three La Liga titles and four UEFA Champions League titles among other honors there. As such, Frank Keys is hoping that Warani can bring his success in the top flight back to his parent club to aid the development of young players.
