Internacional Maia Miguel, the city of green with Argentine soccer superstar Mez as its flagship, failed to break into the USL playoffs this season. However, coach Martino was not discouraged and announced on Thursday (19) that the club is planning to invite Uruguayan striker Luis Suarez to join the club in a bid to rekindle the flame of the old days with Mez.
Suarez, 36, revealed not long ago that he will bid farewell to Gammeo when his contract expires in December, and International Maia Mi is determined to make a comeback after a failed attempt in the summer transfer window. Martino revealed, "We have conducted a thorough analysis of the squad for the upcoming season and clarified the needs of the team, which includes a plan to sign Suarez. Once the right moment arrives, Inter Miami will not hesitate to move towards that goal."
