Fakao, the 37-year-old striker known as "The Tiger", the Colombian shot-stopper of La Liga rivals Vallecano, is reportedly facing a move away from the club. According to Spanish newspaper Marca, Fakao has received an olive branch from Malaysian team Johor DT, and is expected to follow in the footsteps of Crow and set foot on the Asian stage.

Fakao has played for Porto, Marco Polo, Monaco, Manchester United and Chelsea in his career, and returned to La Liga in September 2021 when he joined Vallecano. However, he only made 22 appearances in the league last season, scoring 6 goals. This season, he has scored 2 goals in 18 appearances, and has only made 3 starts, so his form has dropped significantly. Therefore, Vallecano is interested in selling him.

Johor DT reacted quickly by offering Fakao a 2-year deal. In recent years, this Malaysian team has brought in several foreigners from Europe such as Italian midfielder Coristelli who played for Udinese and Wakefield, former Ashton Villa's Shaun Luni, and former Swansea stalwart Zodi Amat. Now, they are targeting Fakao. If Fakao joins Johor DT, he may have a chance to compete with Crowe in Asian club competitions in the future.
