Real Madrid failed to capitalize on their advantage in the La Liga "Madrid Derby" in the early hours of Sunday morning, drawing 1-1 with Sporting Madrid at home, despite playing with an extra man. The battle was led by Real Madrid's newest star, Ewalu Lodiguez, who scored in the last five minutes of the match to help his team regain a point and become the youngest Real Madrid player to score in a Madrid Derby in the 21st century, at the age of 18 years and 226 days.
Real Madrid dominated the first half, but were unable to break through and the game was at a stalemate. The game took a turn for the worse in the 64th minute, when Sporting Madrid striker Anzuglia elbowed his opponent Rudiger in a confrontation and was sent off by the referee with a red card.
However, playing with one man less, Sporting Madrid scored first instead. In the 78th minute, Kishavin took a free kick and center back Jose Kiwanis scored with a header.
In the 85th minute, Real Madrid took advantage of a corner kick, which was headed in by substitute Ewalu Lodiguez just eight minutes later, making it 1-1. He was 18 years and 226 days old at the time, breaking Higuain's record of being the youngest Real Madrid player to score a goal for Sporting Madrid in the 21st century. It is worth noting that Higuain scored here in 2007 at the age of 19 years and 76 days.
Evalu Lodiguez comes from a soccer family, his father being former Uruguayan international Gauquitu. Although he was born in Spain and trained with Real Madrid's youth team, he chose to represent the Uruguayan national team. The 1'92" striker made his La Liga debut earlier in Osasina, contributing an assist. He scored in his second La Liga game in this campaign, showing great potential and is being touted as Binzema's successor.
