The global interest in the battle between Cron and Messe is heating up once again! A friendly is on the cards this Thursday when the Saudi Riyadh Stars take on Paris Saint-Germain (PSG). The Riyadh Stars have announced their lineup, with new signing Cron leading the way as captain in his first match on the same pitch as Mez since 2020, and perhaps the last time they will face each other on the field.

The Riyadh Stars, comprised of players from two top teams, Riyadh Victory and Riyadh Crescent, will be making their debut in a friendly match with Cron, who has yet to make an appearance since joining new Saudi owners Riyadh Victory. The Saudi side is treating the Portuguese star with great courtesy, specially awarding him the captain's armband yesterday, which was personally worn by the chairman of the Saudi General Authority for Sports, Turki Al Sheikh, to show his respect and recognition.

PSG's official website has also released a poster for the match today to build up momentum for the event, with Cron and Mes occupying the focal points of each team's posters, as the two footballing superstars once again share the same pitch for what could be one of the last times fans will ever witness it. They played each other several times during their La Liga days, but since Cron left Real Madrid in 2018, the frequency of their face-offs has decreased significantly, with the most recent coming in December 2020, when Juventus beat Barcelona 3-0 away from home, with Cron scoring two solo goals. The prospect of meeting again two years later is highly anticipated.

With the addition of Cron, Riyadh Victory's ticket prices for the 15th round of the Saudi League against Al Faisal have gone up, soaring more than three times to SAR 100 from the previous SAR 30.

However, despite the fact that he is about to face PSG, Cron is not forgetting to steal some time to enjoy life. Yesterday, he took his family on a trip to enjoy the sea lion show with his girlfriend Georgina.
