La Liga giants Valencia FC have officially announced that the team has renewed a one-year contract with goalkeeper Dominicos. Although the 32-year-old veteran had been plagued by a serious knee injury, Valencia still chose to join hands with him until 2024, allowing him to complete the end of his career in his hometown team.

Dominicus is in his tenth season since joining Valencia in 2013. In that time, he has consistently wavered between starting and benching. In September of this year, he suffered a serious knee injury and was unable to make an appearance for the entire season. However, Valencia didn't give up on him, but instead reached out and offered him a new contract so he could focus on his treatment.

Speaking about the contract extension, Dominicus said, "From the first day I joined the team, I have expressed my desire to end my career in Valencia. I am very grateful to the president for the trust he has placed in me."
