Nigerian-born Austrian footballer, Alaba, recently made a generous donation of 13.3 million naira, or about $31,000, to his hometown to fund the construction of a public restroom. Although the amount is small, it really improves the lives of local residents.

The inauguration of the toilets was accompanied by a grand opening ceremony. Alaba not only presented several Real Madrid FC jerseys to the residents, but to the surprise of the locals, this act of kindness triggered a warm response on the Internet, with many netizens praising Alaba for not forgetting his roots and being grateful.

Alaba's origins are quite legendary, as his father was once a Nigerian tribal prince. Although he was born in Austria and represented the Austrian national team, he later joined Bayern Munich and won numerous honors for his outstanding performance.
