Kubo Jianying, known as the "Japanese Messi", has once again departed from Real Madrid to join his new La Liga owner, Real Sociedad. It is reported that the two sides have reached a five-year contract, the transfer amount of up to 6.5 million euros.

Real Sociedad officials have revealed that the club's senior management personally went to the airport to greet the 21-year-old midfielder, and that Kubo Kenyoung will undergo a medical checkup, and if there are no emergencies, he will officially join the team.

Despite a transfer fee of just €6.5 million, Real Madrid retain half ownership and may have the opportunity to buy back in the future, or receive a cut of the profits once Real Sociedad sells Kubo Kenyoung.

Kubo Kenyoung joined Real Madrid from FC Tokyo in June 2019, but has been loaned out frequently to the likes of Mallorca, Villarreal and Kitafi. Last season, he made 31 appearances for Mallorca, scoring two goals, and is expected to take his play to the next level at Real Sociedad.
