On July 28th, China time, heavy news came out of the Spanish soccer world: Real Espanyol FC officially announced that they have successfully signed Sevilla's powerful defender, Serge Gomez, to an official contract until June 2024, with a one-year option to extend his contract.
An official announcement from Espanyol states that, following a consensus with Sevilla Football Club, Selcie Gomez will officially become a member of Espanyol, with a contract locked in place until June 2024 and including a one-year automatic renewal clause.
Born on March 28, 1992, Selci Gomez, a native of Arenes on the Catalan coast, is known for his solid position as a central defender. His career spanned Barcelona, Celta and Sevilla, leaving a record of 165 appearances in La Liga. It is worth mentioning that he has also gloriously lifted the UEFA Cup trophy with Sevilla. In addition, he has been called up to the Spanish national team on several occasions.
After completing his medical and passing it with flying colors, Selcie Gomez will attend a media conference before he travels to Marbella to join the Spaniards in their summer preparations.
