After completing a medical and obtaining a work permit, the 21-year-old Portuguese soccer star is set to join Wolves on a season-long loan from La Liga giants Barcelona. Wolves have the right to buy out Trincom in the future if he performs well.

Trincón comes from the same family as Pedro Neto, and is both a Braga youth academy trained player. In 48 games for Braga, he delivered 9 goals and 13 assists.Trincón made his European debut on September 19, 2019, when he came on as a substitute for Wolverhampton Wanderers against Braga in the first round of the UEFA Cup group stage.

Trincom moved to Barcelona in the summer of 2020 and was called up for the first time by the Portuguese national team after scoring three goals in 41 games last season. To date, he has made six appearances for the national team.

Wolves Technical Director Scott Sellars was thrilled to say, "Trincombe is an extremely talented player and I believe Wolves fans will be thrilled with his style of play! He is skillful with the ball, extremely fast, can pass and shoot, and is creative at the same time. We've been following him for a long time, especially in recent months, and the fact that he's joined Barcelona from Braga is testament to his potential. Despite being just 21 years old, he has already gained a wealth of playing experience in La Liga and we believe he is ready to play in the Premier League."

"He is an experienced young player, both at club and national level, and his addition will undoubtedly strengthen the squad. There are many Portuguese players in the Wolves team who can support each other, and I am sure that Trincom will integrate and adapt quickly. Our manager Lage, who is also Portuguese, knows Tricom very well and speaks highly of him. We are very happy to be able to bring Trincom to Wolves!"
