In the star-studded soccer landscape, a bombshell news quietly spread in Beijing on June 13 - The Sun revealed that Premier League giants Chelsea are in a heated battle with Manchester United for Spanish star Saur. The La Liga champions have now reduced their bid for Saur to 68 million pounds, as if beckoning enthusiastically, "Come and snap it up!"

However, Chelsea and Manchester United are not the only ones involved in this battle. Paris Saint-Germain, Juventus and Bayern Munich are also rumored to have thrown in the towel on Saur. Although he has yet to receive a call-up to the national team to showcase his talents on the Europa League stage, that hasn't stopped the major giants from chasing him.

Saur has been praised for his performances at Atletico and his relationship with the team has been quite cordial. However, the onslaught of the new Champions League epidemic has made Atletico's financial situation worse and they are willing to sell the central midfielder within a reasonable price range.

According to Mundo Deportivo, Saur's breach of contract is a whopping £130 million, which seems somewhat out of place in the current economic climate. His contract with Atletico Madrid is also quite unique, an unusual one with complicated clauses, which, according to the official version, will draw to a close in the summer of 2026.

Atletico have now made it clear that they are willing to consider offers in excess of £68 million. Serie A giants Juventus seem to have a slight lead in this battle.
