The future of Uruguayan wing sensation Faquendo Peristeri, who was brought in from Manchester United for £9 million last summer, looks set to continue in the La Liga arena.

Although Peristeri failed to integrate into United's first team, he impressed the La Liga side with his impressive performances after being loaned to Alaves.

At Alaves, Peristeri appeared in 12 matches, helping the team to succeed in relegation and playing alongside names such as Uruguayan star Luis Suarez. Now, Alaves are interested in keeping him on loan and United are inclined to accept this option, after all, if he returns, a first team place is equally difficult to guarantee.

Peristeri is reportedly set to open discussions with Manchester United next Monday over his stay for next season. Alaves have made a formal request for a one-year loan extension, while other La Liga clubs have also expressed interest in him.

If a more substantial Liga MX club could offer Peristeri first-team appearances, then this could become a more attractive option.

As well as Peristeri, United have loaned out a number of players this season, some of whom have been as successful as the Uruguayan starlet, such as Lingard, but others have failed to live up to their billing, with Lazio's Andreas Pereira failing to prove himself, with the Blue Eagles refusing to trigger a buyout clause, leaving him to return to United in dismay to look for a new way out.

Regarding the future, Pereira said, "If you have difficulties in flight, spread your wings again like an eagle. That's one of the things I've learned at Lazio this season. The club's powerful mascot, the incredible charm of the city and the fans who welcomed me so warmly have benefited me in every moment of this season. Despite the many challenges I've experienced, I want to give more to the team, more time, and better myself. As for the happy times, my first game as a starter and goal scorer, completing a shutout in the final minutes to win. Here I am working with these incredible teammates! Not only the players, but all the staff at the club. My only regret is not seeing the fans on the pitch, that's something I can't forget. The future lies ahead, so why not dream of meeting again at the stadium?"

There are also players whose futures remain unclear, such as Portuguese wing-back Diogo Dallo, who is on loan from AC Milan. He helped Milan win second place in Serie A, but it is not yet known whether he will be bought out or return to Manchester United.

In an interview with Italian newspaper La Gazzetta dello Sport, Darlow said, "I want to become more and more well-rounded, Italians love soccer, they always talk about it, and it's a wonderful experience to be part of this culture. On the pitch, I also feel that I have improved tactically. I've learned a few things about defense here, and it's been a great benefit to improve that ability. And not only that, but I've also improved in pressing high and getting the ball off the ground as quickly as possible, which is a very effective skill."
