RB Leipzig made it three wins in a row with a 2-1 victory against Heidenheim. Sheshko broke the deadlock in the game while Oponda completed the shutout.
In the first half, the two sides battled it out. A set-piece attempt from Best went straight wide, while Kimber made a mistake when clearing inside the box, Sheshko followed up and capitalized on the opportunity, breaking the deadlock with a flicked ball. Olmo then tried a driving shot but unfortunately the ball was off target.
The tension in the game increased further into the second half. Schoeppner delivered an assist, which Dovidan capitalized on with a header to tie the game. Raum then fired in a set piece and Olmo's padded shot hit the side netting. However, with the game on the line, Simakan broke down the right and sent in a cross that Oponda pushed across the face of goal to complete the shutout and seal the win for Leipzig.
