May 20, China time, 34-year-old former member of the German national team Khedira officially waved goodbye to the green field, this Saturday's Bundesliga match will become his career finale.
Khedira, who was born on April 4, 1987, started his career at Stuttgart, and in the 2006-2007 season he helped Stuttgart to the Bundesliga title with a pinpoint header against Cottbus in the Bundesliga finale.
In the summer of 2010, Khedira moved to Real Madrid, where he made 161 appearances, scoring nine goals and winning one title each in La Liga, the Copa del Rey, the Supercopa del Rey, the Champions League, the UEFA Super Cup and the Club World Cup.
In 2015, as a free agent, Khedira joined Juventus. In his first five seasons with Juve, the team bagged all the Serie A titles, in addition to winning three Coppa Italia titles and one Italian Super Cup. However, Khedira missed the first half of the season due to injury, and it wasn't until February 1 that he returned to the Bundesliga and joined Hertha Berlin. So far, he has made eight appearances for Hertha Berlin, who will face Hoffenheim away in the final round of the Bundesliga this Saturday.
Khedira made a total of 77 appearances for the German national team, scoring 7. At the end of 2013, he unfortunately twisted his right knee in a match against Italy, which for a while made the prospect of participation in the 2014 World Cup uncertain. But in the end, he managed to make the national team with his outstanding performances. In the 7-1 thrashing of Brazil, Khedira scored the team's fifth goal. Unfortunately, he was injured during the warm-up for the final against Argentina and was forced to start in Kramer's place, but despite this, Germany eventually beat Argentina to win the World Cup.
