In the 37th round of La Liga this morning, there was a fierce battle in the focus of the game. Villarreal beat Sevilla 4-0, with Milan's Baka scoring a hat-trick of goals. The submarine coach Emery humiliated his former hosts Sevilla with a 4-goal advantage.
From a corner kick in the 34th minute, Parejo deftly delivered the ball from the right side and Baca made it 1-0 for the submarine with a header from inside the box.
As the game progressed, Villarreal added another goal just 2 minutes into the second half, with Moreno directing the ball down the middle and Bacca countering with an easy goal to make the score 2-0.
However, just as the scoreline was widening, Sevilla center back Diego Carlos was red-carded in the 53rd minute after two yellows turned into one for pulling down the anti-offside Pinot behind his back.
By the 66th minute, Sevilla center forward Rakitic made a mistake and returned the pass too lightly, Moreno grabbed the ball and fired a low shot from the left to the far corner of the goal. This is Moreno's 23rd goal in the league, trailing Lionel Messi in the second place in the top scorer list.
Bacca completed his hat-trick on 79 minutes. Sevilla goalkeeper Bono made a mistake in clearing the ball and Bacca seized the opportunity to pump a shot from distance into an empty net.
After 37 rounds of play, Real Sociedad, Villarreal and Betis are 5th, 6th and 7th in the table with 59, 58 and 58 points respectively. Two of these three teams will get tickets to the UEFA Cup. Submarine will challenge Real Madrid on the road in the next round, in order to fight for the precious UEFA Cup seat, Emery will lead the team to go all out.
