Valencia, the historic Spanish city that spawned one of the most illustrious salons in La Liga history, has nevertheless fallen as low as it has in recent years, and now sits in 14th place in La Liga. Last week, after a disappointing loss, Singaporean-Chinese entrepreneur Lim Eng Hock put the team's manager Gracia in the spotlight by sacking him. Friction between Lim Eng Hock and the fans has never ceased since he took over Valencia in 2014.
Facing the media cameras, Lim Rong Fu questioned the loyalty of Valencia fans: "Some people have tried to make me promise not to sell Valencia to people who are not recognized by them. There seems to be something abnormal about these people, who call themselves Valencianistas. However, under the supposed leadership of Valencia fans, the club was once on the verge of bankruptcy. I hate to belittle our saloon, but Valencia has never tasted the Champions League in its 102-year history. There are 101 things I can do to make a good living and managing Valencia is clearly not one of them, I am not making money out of it."
