Barcelona topped today's Forbes Salon Value list with a staggering $4.76 billion market capitalization, while Real Madrid and Bayern Munich followed in a narrow second and third place, respectively.
The average market capitalization of soccer salons around the world has increased by 30% over the past two years, with Premier League teams occupying six of the top ten spots in the rankings, La Liga and the Bundesliga two spots each, and Ligue 1 and Serie A one spot each. It's worth noting that the highest ranked team in Serie A is Juventus in 11th place.
Outside of the big five leagues, Dutch club Ajax is in first place with a market capitalization of $413 million.
