As the year ends, a piece of heavy news exploded in the soccer world: Chongqing Tongliang Dragons FC announced that 13 players, including veteran Zhao Hejing, will bid farewell to the team. Born in 1985, Zhao Hejing is a versatile player who can play both as a center back and a wing back. He was a mainstay of Chongqing Lifan from 2005 until 2011, when he moved to Dalian Albion, and joined Beijing Guoan in 2014, where he helped the team to AFC Champions League glory.
After his Guoan career, Zhao Hejing played for Guizhou Hengfeng between 2018 and 2021, before returning to his homeland to join Tongliang Dragons in 2022.In the 2024 season, he appeared in 26 games in the Central League and one game in the FA Cup for Chongqing Tongliang Dragons, scoring two goals, dishing out one assist, and winning the Player of the Match award in the match against Guangzhou.
Zhao Hejing has been a stalwart of Chongqing Tongliang Dragons since the club was promoted to the Chinese Championship, and has played for top clubs such as Chongqing Lifan and Beijing Guoan. Having played for top clubs such as Chongqing Lifan and Beijing Guoan, he has helped the club move from the Amateur League to the Chinese First Division with his experience and ability.In the 2023-2024 season, Zhao made 49 appearances for the team and scored 4 goals.
