Stepping into the threshold of 2024, the CFA's review of club access for the new season is about to begin. Wuhan Three Town and Cangzhou Lions had been in the list of FIFA transfer registration ban; while Meizhou Hakka, Jiangxi Lushan, Yanbian Longding and Guangzhou team were also on the list.

It is clear that these clubs must first resolve the wage arrears issue raised by FIFA if they are to pass the FA's scrutiny. While Wuhan Three Town are facing 11 transfer bans, Cangzhou Lions are also in debt.

Turning to today, the Chinese soccer world ushered in a ray of light. The FIFA transfer registration bans on Meizhou Hakka and Yanbian Longding have been lifted, signaling that the two clubs are expected to pass the admission review for the new season.

Guangzhou team has not made any changes so far, although there is only one transfer registration ban left. This also reflects the fact that Guangzhou have not yet reached a settlement with former coach Carnavaro over the issue of salary arrears.

If Cannavaro fails to get FIFA to withdraw the ban, the eight-time Chinese Super League champions may fall behind Jiangsu Suning, who also have eight titles to their name and one in the past. As a result, the 30-year-old Chinese professional soccer league will lose 17 league titles.
