On November 28th, Shanghai Beach was filled with passion as HCDC held a grand season finale at the SAIC Pudong Soccer Stadium. The Vice Mayor of Shanghai came to the event, and the Director of the Sports Bureau, Mr. Xu, was also present to offer his warm congratulations and deep concern to the team from the Municipal Party Committee, the Municipal Government and the Sports Bureau.
In the 2024 season, the Harbour Team swept away the leaves like the wind, accumulating 78 points with a brilliant record of 25 wins, 3 draws and 2 losses, and renewing their glory. After winning the Super League title last year, the team won the title again this year, winning the third Vulcan Cup in the team's history. They also wrote a new record of 96 goals scored in a single season in the Chinese Super League, a new high of 78 points, a new record of 66 clean sheets, and a spectacular record of 16 consecutive victories. 23 November, the Harbour Team continued their efforts to win the AFC Cup, realizing the "Grand Slam" feat of domestic soccer tournaments.
Soccer legend and renowned coach Xu Genbao was also invited to the event and witnessed a heartwarming and touching scene as his beloved disciple, Stanley Wong, put on the AFC Cup winner's medal for him. Coach Xu witnessed the growth of these young players, who started from Chongming Island and eventually realized their childhood dreams and fulfilled their promises to each other. He emotionally recalled: "In 1995, I led Shenhua to win the championship, that AFC Cup although against Shandong, but failed to win the championship.
