Renowned Italian journalist Nicolo Scilla has revealed that highly-rated Premier League rivals Brentford are plotting to bag Fiorentina's young Italian right-back, Kayode, on January 19th BST. The 20-year-old, who has been through the Juventus youth academy, moved to Fiorentina in the summer of 2021 and has become a rising star in the side.

Cayode quickly became a mainstay of the Fiorentina first team after his successful promotion last season. However, with the addition of Palladino this season, his chances of playing have plummeted, with only 5 appearances in Serie A so far, and only 1 start. For a young player, such playing time is obviously insufficient, which adversely affects his growth and progress.

Brentford have recognized the potential and strength of Kayode and are determined to bring him to the club. Currently, Brentford are in the process of negotiating with Fiorentina to reach an agreement on Kayode's transfer. If the negotiation goes well, Kayode is expected to become a member of Brentford, injecting fresh blood into the team's backline.

For Kayode, joining Brentford will be a new challenge and opportunity. He will showcase his talent on the Premier League stage and further enhance his competitive level. Brentford will also become stronger with the addition of this young player, and be well prepared for the coming matches.
