Federico Guidi
will start the 2024-25 season as Milan U20
youth team
the manager of the club, replacing the previous manager Abate. The news was confirmed on Tuesday via an announcement on the Milan club's official website.
Federico Guidi, 47 years old and born in Florence, has coached the youth teams of Empoli and Fiorentina in his past coaching career, as well as the Italian U19 and U20 national youth teams. In addition, he has coached several teams in the Italian second division, showing a wealth of coaching experience.
In his most recent coaching experience, Federico Guidi has been in charge of Roma's youth team since July 2022, during which time he led the team to the Youth Cup of Italy and the Youth Supercoppa Italiana, as well as finishing as runners-up in the Italian Youth League last season.
The Milan club warmly welcomes the arrival of the new head coach and expects him to inject new energy and achievements into the team's youth development work in the future.
