Several athletes and coaches have mourned the recent death of Thomas Boy, one of them being Roberto -, who was led by the owner in the 1990s and later served as a technical assistant in one of the best phases of the monarchy.

Roberto shared his experiences and experiences with the boy and how he learned of his departure. In addition, he added that when he was playing, his relationship with Thomas was strained because it didn't fit with the way he motivated his players. However, it helped him grow.

"I was saddened to hear the news, I found out on social media that I didn't have much contact with Tomas's kids, I had contacted him directly, and unfortunately that's how I found out," said the current technician for Malacatco Guatemala, who was just crowned in the league.

"We knew his personality, he wasn't one to turn his back on you, he was always facing challenges and trying to bring out the best in you based on the challenges and that was his way and I differed from him many times in that way, but I understood at the time that that was his formula and he helped me a lot."

In 2009, Morelia was once again the meeting point of Thomas and Roberto. Hernandez worked in the basic unit and after Luis Fernando Tena was sacked, he had to provide a stop-gap for the first team until the arrival of the boys.

Upon his arrival, Thomas decided to incorporate Roberto into his technical team as an assistant, which surprised the current strategist because they were not directly related.

"I didn't have a good relationship with him at the time, we talked about it, but I never thought I'd have the opportunity to work with him, and when he came to Morelia I had a temp and he decided that even though I was already on the field, I was going to coach; we drew 1-1."

"I thought he would say to me, 'Goodbye, I brought my aide,' but to my luck and surprise, we met in the President's office, and without telling me beforehand, he told Alvaro da that he wanted Carlos Bastos and me as aides. "

Roberto admits that working with Thomas wasn't easy at first, but soon they managed to settle into different ways of working and build a great relationship.

"In the beginning there was a long friction and discussion to agree on a format, I was coming from a very structured training, he wasn't, and there we had a heated discussion. I put him on a format and he said, "Thomas, this can help us" and he told me he was crazy, but the next day he took that approach. Or he gave it to her; that's his personality."
