Center back Gary Cagelmacher is already signing on as a new reinforcement for the closing ceremony of the 2022 Olympics. The pedigree man admits that coming to Mexico is a challenge he's always been interested in, and he hopes to contribute his experience to keep the Beast fighting for what matters.
"I'm a person who likes new challenges, I've changed a lot of countries, I like to get to know new leagues, new cultures, their people, and even though I won the title in my country, I think this decision is the best. It's a league I've always been interested in, it's become very competitive and Leon is a team hungry for important things." Yup.
"I will contribute everything I know and everything the coach asks me to do, I know there are a lot of experienced players who have won games at the club so we have to support those players so I want to be on board."
Regarding the technician Ariel Holan of Esmeraldas, Kagelmacher acknowledged the opportunity to work together from the strategist phase he was in: "He is a coach, I had a very interesting conversation with him and he showed me his interest when he was in Brazil, these things are very important to me and having a coach gives me confidence and I hope I can do my best," he said.
