Cruz Azul defender Alejandro Mayorga made his first appearance for the club the day after retiring in 2022.

The athlete was replaced by Luis Quique Mendoza in the 66th minute. Among the new soccer machines, only Cristian Thabo played with the team for the first time in this new season.

With Alejandro Mayorga's debut, he became the seventh player to wear a Blue Cross, Chivas and Cougar jersey. Previously, Juan Francisco Palencia, Eric, Custer, Gonzalo Pineda, Israel Lopez and Luis Flores did the same.
Cruz Azul is still looking forward to Cristian Thabo's debut, as well as some other support still to come after the departure of Cabecita Rodriguez and the possible machine deals that Paule Fernandez and Cristian Pavon could make with Boca Juniors.
