"The truth is that it was not a failure. I came to a great organization that opened doors for me and at first I managed to show my talent, then I suffered a lot of injuries that weakened me and lost continuity, but I will never call it a failure because I learned a lot as a professional and as a human being, that's what counts. Benedetti admitted in an interview with ESPN, "It gives a negative feeling that I couldn't showcase all my talents, but I will never call it a failure."

In his two years with Azzurrema, he played 39 matches, scoring 6 goals and 3 assists. He won the Mexican Super Cup and the Championship in 2019.

of a player he wants to work with to get better and have more playing time.

"I want to put behind me those years where I didn't have a lot of continuity, those years where I couldn't play for a lot of reasons. Today I got this opportunity, but nobody here is going to give me anything either, and I know I have to do my best to get those playing minutes, but I think if I can do it, if I can stick with it, you'll see me. A version of Nicolas Benedetti is better for soccer

, a more accurate version that will help me make the leap I want to make for the Colombian national team.

"Ruda is the current technician and he has proven that he likes to call on fit players and that's my goal, to be able to stay fit and be able to compete for a position," he added.

Benedetti admitted that her relationship with Santiago - ended on a good note.

"Everything ended well. I spoke to Mr. Solari and I thank him because from the outside you can see everything is wrong because you don't play, but not everything is like that. As a player you want to be with as many people as you can who meet you, and Solari is no exception, I always try to follow orders and give 100% of my effort. Or in every training session this situation is non-negotiable for me, obviously the technicians make their own decisions, but I have learned a lot from Solari.

"I will always be grateful to them, as I am to all the techs I've been through. They also put a piece of sand in me that will serve me well into the future, so it's all good," he concluded.
