In the days leading up to the league's owners' meeting, a variety of topics began to center around possible changes for the coming seasons.

The main topic of the General Assembly will be the schedule of the next Championships.2022 will be a special year as it will be held in November and December. The reason for the adjustment of the dates; in particular, the opening ceremony of the 2022 Opening Ceremony, will have to end in the first weeks of November, as the World Fair will start on the 21st of the same month.

But that's not the only issue to be discussed. Yesterday, all the executives of the Supreme Circuit held a pre-selection meeting to discuss the issues and proposals that will be determined on December 6 by the different team owners.

One of the proposals that will be seriously considered is to postpone the reduction of the number of foreigners, since the Board's management has a good chance of adopting them. It is worth recalling that for two years a plan has been in effect whereby the quota of untrained Mexican soccer players is gradually reduced for every two tournaments. Currently, 10 foreigners are allowed in the team's squad and only 8 are allowed on the pitch; for the opening tournament in 2022, this amount is budgeted to be reduced to 9 Mexican untrained players and 7 on the pitch, and it is this change that will be postponed until the next soccer year, 2023.

One of the main promoters of this change is Gerardo Martino, who wants more options in his tri-color calls, and he wants more chances to play on the field, a proposal that "Tata" will not be entirely happy about if it passes.
