The first game of the 2021 Greta rematch came to a close.Atlético San Luis visited Club Santos in an all-or-nothing game.Both teams saw each other only for the Spring Championship on the 17th. Everything pointed to Lagneros as the winner, and in the end, they did.
The first half of the game was almost a carbon copy of what was seen on the final day of the event. Neither team was able to lead on the scoreboard, but Santos Laguna showed more ambition and desire to find the goal. It was not until the said second half, at minute 65, that Eduar Elton scored non-stop.
In the final stages of the game, an attempt to find a draw to extend the game to penalties, but the same desperation in front of goal, led to Santos increasingly exploiting the space of the defense to such an extent that Alejandro Jeraldino correctly converted the degrees to reach the maximum penalties.
