According to Daily Sport, FC Barcelona are in the process of bringing winger Athletic Bilbao's
Nico Williams.

The Spanish media revealed that Williams has become one of Barcelona's main transfer targets. Currently, Barcelona is in close contact with La Liga and is actively promoting the transfer of Williams.
Although Barcelona had previously viewed bringing in a defensive midfielder as a top priority, Williams' impressive performances at Bilbao have led the club to adjust its transfer strategy. Barca's sporting department believes that if a choice has to be made between overpriced reinforcements, bringing in Williams and combining it with a more economical midfielder would be more appropriate than bringing in a top midfielder and an average winger.
Athletic Bilbao are not willing to compromise on the transfer total, but may have some flexibility on how the €58 million release fee is paid. For now, Barcelona's main concern is whether they have enough financial space to complete the deal. The club is optimistic about gaining room to maneuver in the coming weeks.
