The soccer club has officially announced that they have successfully signed Dutch national team player
Weaver (name)
, a defensive midfielder from Feyenoord. Weaver's contract with Brighton will extend until 2029.
Viver, 24, made his debut for Twente in 2018 before spending two seasons at Feyenoord, making over 70 appearances and contributing nine goals and 11 assists. He made his debut for the Dutch national team in March 2023 and scored his first goal against Gibraltar in November of the same year.
David Weir, Brighton's director, said, "We are delighted to be able to welcome Wiffle to the club. He is a player that we have admired for his experience in the Champions League and Dutch Eredivisie and has become one of the top defensive midfielders in Europe. We have other Dutch players such as Verbruggen in the squad and I am sure they will help Wiever to integrate quickly into the team and look forward to his great performances at Brighton."
Vivier's transfer fee is reportedly around €30 million or so.
