Scott Parker.
Appointed as the club's new
head coach
.. The 43-year-old Parker has successfully led Fulham and Bournemouth to promotion to the Premier League, as well as playing in the Premier League for 15 seasons as a professional, and has represented and captained England.
Parker said in an interview, "I'm really happy to be here. I've been in conversation with Burnley for a while and it's been a really positive thing, I feel really good about the people and the environment at the club. Now back at the training ground, I can't wait to start my job."
He continued, "It is vital for us to be successful this year. We must win games and build a team that the fans and the club can be proud of. This team will represent the values and goals of every club member."
Burnley FC Chairman Alan Pace also welcomed Parker's arrival and said, "We are very much looking forward to Parker joining us. His vision for the future is highly aligned with our aim to return to the Premier League as soon as possible. His track record of success and commitment to the development of young players makes him the ideal candidate. We are confident that he will lead the club to new achievements and continue to build on the strong foundations previously laid."
