Arsenal FC accelerates pursuit

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Arsenal's deal with 22-year-old Italian international center-back Carafiore has moved quickly. The Gunners have agreed a personal contract with the player on a €4 million-a-year deal, but the
Bologna
and are not willing to release them. Although Arsenal had previously had an offer of 47 million euros rejected, they have now raised it to over 50 million euros (some rumors call it 55 million euros). The Bologna club started to hesitate in the face of such a high price offer.
Bologna communicated with Carafiore immediately after the Italian national team's exit, but the lure of the Premier League was hard to resist. Aside from Arsenal, Chelsea, Tottenham, Paris Saint-Germain, Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid have also shown interest in Carafiore. However, Gazzetta dello Sport states that Arsenal are ultimately expected to come out on top of the competition.
