, with plans to bring the Spain international to Manchester City this summer as a potential successor to Kevin De Bruyne.
The manager has long considered Olmo to be one of the best midfielders in the world and favored him during his time in charge of Barcelona. Although Olmo's release clause has expired, it is understood that his transfer fee is expected to be €60 million, reflecting his importance and high salary at Leipzig (around €11 million/year).
De Bruyne, 33, has recently expressed his openness to the future with just one year left on his contract. City believe Olmo, who plays in a similar style to De Bruyne, is the ideal successor to him.
