The team announced today that it successfully brought in All-Star point guard Demar

DeRozan (name)

.. In the deal, the Kings sent guard Chris Duarte, two future second-round picks and cash to the Chicago Bulls, while sending forward Harris Barnes and a 2031 first-round pick swap right to the San Antonio Spurs.

As previously reported, DeRozan signed a three-year contract with the Kings worth up to $74 million, plus bonus clauses totaling up to $76 million. The first two years of this contract totaling $59 million are fully guaranteed, while the third year is partially guaranteed.

In the 2023-24 season, DeRozan appeared in 79 regular season games on behalf of the Bulls, averaging 37.8 minutes of playing time and contributing a comprehensive statistic of 24 points, 4.3 rebounds, 5.3 assists and 1.1 steals. His addition to the team will undoubtedly greatly enhance the Kings' offensive firepower and the ability to score in critical moments.

With DeRozan's arrival, the Kings are expected to form a new Big Three lineup, forming a strong core combination with the team's star players such as Daron Fox and Domantas Sabonis. This not only improves the Kings' competitiveness in the new season, but also makes fans look forward to the team's future performance.

For the Bulls and Spurs, the trade also gives them flexibility in rebuilding assets and payroll space. The Bulls gained young players and draft picks, while the Spurs received the experienced Barnes and a future first-round pick swap, both positive additions to their rebuilding programs.
