's second offer has been rejected. It was previously reported that United's offer amounted to £50 million, but Everton's side insisted on a minimum asking price of £70 million (about 83 million euros), thus rejecting United's offer.
Branswit, 22, is Everton's main defender who played 41 games for the team last season and contributed three goals. According to the German transfer market website, Branswit is valued at around £35.5 million. Nonetheless, Everton's valuation for the young defender is clearly higher and they are not willing to let go of the key player for less than £70 million.
United's move in the transfer market shows the team's urgent need to strengthen its backline. However, in the face of Everton's firm stance, United may need to reevaluate their transfer strategy or be prepared to make a higher offer to meet the other side's asking price.
