FC Munich announced through official channels that the team's winger, Leroy

Sane (name)

has undergone successful groin surgery on Monday. The 28-year-old German international has been struggling with groin pain since the end of last season and the surgery was done to completely resolve the health issue that has been plaguing him for a long time.

Sane returned to Munich for minimally invasive surgery immediately after the German national team's Euro quarterfinal defeat to Spain. During the match, his pubic bone problem flared up again, severely affecting his speed and shooting ability, forcing him to be substituted at halftime.

It was reported that on the eve of the Europa League, Sane had been suffering from severe pain for weeks, and he had even feared that he would not be able to take part in this important international tournament. However, in order to be able to play for the national team in the local tournament, Sane chose to stick with the competition, taking all the risks. With Germany's early exit from the tournament, undergoing surgery became a necessity.

Bayern officials said that Sane's surgery was very successful, and he is expected to resume training at the end of July along with other players who have participated in the Europa League. Fans expect Sane to recover as soon as possible and return to the green field in full blooded condition to contribute to Bayern Munich and future national team games.
