Austrian star Alaba, despite being unable to play in Euro 2024 himself due to injury, is still traveling with the team as part of the squad and has expressed his deep feelings and high regard for the team and manager Rangnick in recent media interviews.

On Austria's prospects at the Euros, Alaba said confidently, "We can go very, very far. We have the potential and the strength and the overall power. We have proved this many times in the past and have shown it at this Euro. Of course, we are aware that it will not be easy and that success will require more effort on our part. Therefore, we will play one game after another, focus on each game and try to do our best."

In the face of rising expectations, Alaba believes the team needs to remain focused and calm. "We realize that expectations are getting higher and higher, but that won't affect our mentality. We will stay focused and won't let outside pressure distract us. At the same time, we have expectations for ourselves, we have demands on the team, and we hope that we won't let down the support of our fans. But we won't drive ourselves crazy with that either, but will enjoy every moment of the game and keep a relaxed atmosphere within the team."

Speaking about the impact head coach Ronnyk has had on the Austrian national team, Alaba was full of praise. "He has had a huge impact and has really done a lot to make the team better. We players have noticed it, he and his coaching team are at a very high level and we are really lucky to have him. He has changed a lot of things and you can see his mark on the Austrian game."

Regarding his physical condition, Alaba said things are getting better. "The recovery is going well and everything is going according to plan. I'm not putting too much pressure on myself and I hope I can wait until I'm 100% recovered before coming back. Although I won't be able to play, I will still support the team in any way I can."

Speaking about his personal role, Alaba said he will be more involved with the coaching team, contributing his experience. "My role now is mainly to be involved in video analysis, pre-match preparations, etc., but I may not be able to attend every meeting as I am undergoing rehabilitation. But I will try my best to help the team."

On the upcoming knockout match against Turkey, Alaba said the team is ready. "We have some experienced players and must not make the mistake of straying from the right path now. We must focus on executing the plan and stay relaxed. It's important to believe in your strengths but you can't get carried away. We will stick to our plan and go all out for the win."

Meanwhile, Alaba also spoke about his thoughts on the suspension of Turkish captain Çalhanoglu. "His absence will definitely be bad for them, but we only care about ourselves and will focus on our own game." As for his Real Madrid teammate and Turkish talent Güler, Alaba spoke highly of him. "I've been in touch with him, he's a great lad, a talent with a lot of potential. He has proven himself in the Europa League and at Real Madrid, who are really lucky to have him."
